RU-CENTER Offers Three DNS Servers

What shall Registrar provide for your domain?

  1. Reliable functioning
  2. Speedy access

Following the adopted rules, at least two DNS-servers shall respond to domain queries in the net. To ensure proper domain functioning, DNS-servers shall have independent network connections, otherwise in unforeseen circumstances (for example, power blackout in Moscow) domain may just vanish from Internet.

DNS-server, storing full initial information about TLD is called Primary. The remaining Secondary DNS-servers obtain full information about TLD from the primary DNS-server.

To ensure domain proper functioning and speed up access for Russian and foreign users to web-resources, RU-CENTER offers 3 DNS-servers at clients' disposal:

Primary

  • ns3.nic.ru — KIAEHOUSE platform in Moscow.

Secondary

  • ns4.nic.ru — platform Ì9  (Moscow inter-city phone station N9) in Moscow;
  • ns8.nic.ru — NIKHEF platform in Amsterdam (Netherlands), storing Amsterdam traffic exchange unit.
