About Web-Forwarding

This service lets you point your new domain name to an existing Web Address that may be long or confusing. Web-forwarding will also let you and your company have your constant web-address. That means that for example if you decide to change your provider, it will have no influence on your address. This service is also very useful if you have already your Web-site and would like to register for it additional name.

Web-forwarding enables forwarding of HTTP-request to Web-site which has other address. All users who typed your domain name in their Web browser box (or went there by link).

There are two modes of this service which is possible to switch at any time:

Mode of showing your initial address

User goes to the Web-site, which you indicate in Properties. Frames are not created. Your visitor sees in his Web browser box URL-address of the page where he is forwarded.

Masking your address in the frame

If you prefer that the actual address of Web-site, where you are doing forwarding, do not shown in Web browser box, choose this mode. Web-site will be inside the frame. While visitor goes from one link to another he will see initial URL.

If you use this mode of forwarding and want to make links inside your Web-site to other resourses, you should indicate in link tag «target=_top». In other case another’s Web-site will be opened in your frame, and visitor will see your domain name in his Web browser box.

Correct link for this case is:

<a href="http://www.nic.ru/" target="_top">RU-CENTER</a>

You should remember that any visitor can easily get information concerning actual address of your Web-site inspite of not showing it in Web browser box. Moreover, using frames for organization of Web-site has some disadvantages (for example not all searching sustems can correctly index them).

If you order Web-forwarding and do not use service Primary-Auto, you should write appropriate record in zone file on Primary DNS of your domain.
