.NET, .COM, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO domain names transfer from DomainPeople to RU-CENTER

ANO Regional Network Information Center (RU-CENTER) as a Registrar provides registration and support services for

  • .NET and .COM domain names (on the basis of the Agreement from April 07, 2004 between RU-CENTER and VeriSign corporation, which is a Registry operator of NET and COM domains);
  • .ORG domain names (on the basis of the Agreement from March 22, 2006 between RU-CENTER and Public Interest Registry, which is a Registry operator of ORG domains);
  • .INFO domain names (on the basis of the Agreement from January 09, 2007 between RU-CENTER and Afilias Limited, which is a Registry operator of INFO domains);
  • .BIZ domain names (on the basis of the Agreement from February 24, 2003 between RU-CENTER and Neulevel, Inc., which is a Registry operator of BIZ domains).

If you want to pay for your domain name (registered at Domain People Inc. through RU-CENTER) registration prolongation at RU-CENTER, you should implement the registrar change procedure, i.e. transfer the domain name from DomainPeople Inc. registration system to RU-CENTER.

Registrar change service for a domain name costs 450 rubles (including taxes), at that domain name registration period is extended for one year as a result of domain name transfer.

Registrar change is not available in the following cases:

  • 60 days have not passed from the moment of domain name registration;
  • 60 days have not passed from the last registrar change;
  • domain name is blocked by the registry or by the present registrar.

The procedure of domain name transfer

1. Domain name administrator should:

1.1. Check the domain name status. If the status is LOCK:

  • enter the DomainPeople customer's interface, using the domain name and the administrative password for the domain name;
  • choose the option Domain Lock Status in the menu;
  • click UNLOCK in order to make the domain name transfer possible.

1.2. Acquire the registry authorization code. In order to do that you should enter the DomainPeople customer's interface and choose the Summary option in the menu. Registry authorization code is specified in the Domain Authorization Code line.

1.3. Pay for the service "Registrar Change" at RU-CENTER.
1.4. Order the "Registrar Change" service:

  • enter the "Manage your account" section;
  • in "Orders" menu choose "for .NET, .COM, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO domain name" link in "Transfer of a domain name to RU-CENTER" section.

2. RU-CENTER blocks money funds on the agreement personal account and sends a request to the Administrator's e-mail (a contact person for administrative issues), specified in the current domain name whois-information in the Administrative Contact field.

3. Administrator (a contact person for administrative issues) should confirm his agreement for domain name transfer from DomainPeople registration system. In the process of confirmation you should specify the registry authorization code. In case there is no answer within 5 days or in case the authorization code is wrong Registrar change is cancelled, the order is removed, money is returned to the personal account of the agreement with RU-CENTER and may be used to pay for other services.

4. After receiving the domain name administrator's agreement RU-CENTER initiates the domain name transfer process in the Registry.

5. After successful registrar change completion RU-CENTER sends notifications to contact e-mail addresses in the agreement. Domain name registration term is prolonged for 1 year, at that the total domain name registration term should not exceed 10 (ten) years.

6. In case the registrar change was not completed, money funds are returned to the personal account of the agreement with RU-CENTER and may be used to pay for other services.

The procedure of registrar change takes from 7 to 10 calendar days.

Notice!
If you have ordered the ".NET, .COM, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO domain name registrar change service", you should uncheck the prolongation mark for that domain name in the section "Manage your account" - "Services prolongation". Otherwise after money arrives at the agreement personal account domain name registration term will be prolonged through DomainPeople according to the paragraphs 4.1.7, 5.4, 6.3.4 of the Regulations 1/4.

In case domain name maintenance is not transferred to RU-CENTER or the registration prolongation service will not be paid for before the registration expiration date, domain name delegation will be stopped. After domain name expiration date registrar change will not be available.
