New Policy of .РФ Domains Sunrise Registration

On May 12, 2010 RU-CENTER launches the second stage of sunrise registration for .РФ domains - available for the owners of trademarks which verbal part contains scripts, other than Cyrillic.

From April 20, 2010  RU-CENTER accepts .РФ domains registration pre-orders from this category of trademark holders.

The clients who submitted a pre-order, and if it was a single pre-order accepted, will be able to register the selected domain name on May 12. If two or more clients have pre-ordered the same domain, the name will go into a private auction for registration rights to the domain.

From July 15 .РФ domains may also be registered under the Sunrise procedure by:

• Rights holders for the trade names;
• Exclusive rights holders for geographical indications of goods origin;
• Non-profit organizations;
• Mass media.
